About Sonya Song
Sonya Song, Ph.D. is an independent consultant specializing in UX research, market research, competitive analysis, and strategic insights consulting, with particular expertise in advertising, e-commerce, social media, and content marketing. Her work is especially strong in user acquisition, retention, and churn prevention.
Sonya is a full-stack researcher, equally fluent in qualitative and quantitative methods and data science.
She has over ten years of experience, starting her career in academia before bringing that rigor to industry, leading research at Meta, Google, and TikTok. Across these roles she built deep expertise in both B2B and B2C products, developing a nuanced understanding of enterprise users including advertisers, merchants, and creators, as well as end users such as shoppers and viewers.
